This site blends a few modern technologies to bring the Malayalam Bible to life. AI-generated verse explanations are powered by Claude, Anthropic's AI model, offering readers a clear, plain-language window into the meaning behind each verse. The "Listen" feature lets visitors hear any chapter read aloud through Sarvam AI's natural-sounding Malayalam text-to-speech. This site was researched, designed, and developed by Abhilash Thomas .

Copyright and licensing

This site presents the P.O.C. Bible — the Malayalam translation prepared by the Pastoral Orientation Centre (POC) under the Kerala Catholic Bishops' Council (KCBC), the translation used liturgically by the Syro-Malabar Church. The Malayalam text remains the copyright of its publishers; it is presented here unmodified, for personal reading and study. This site adds navigation, search, and formatting only. If you are the copyright holder and have any concern, please reach out via the contact page.

The canon

This site contains the complete 73-book Catholic canon — the 66 books of the Protestant canon plus the 7 deuterocanonical books (Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch, and 1–2 Maccabees) together with the additional Greek material of Esther and Daniel. Each book also carries its P.O.C. introduction (ആമുഖം), giving the background, authorship, and structure of the book before you begin reading.
